Meet the Team
Trisha Miners, Editor
Hi my name is Trisha, I am 55 years old and I have had Fibromyalgia for at least 20years.
I was diagnosed about 12 years ago after feeling like a hypochondriac at the doctors and beginning to think I was going mad. It was a relief to finally be diagnosed.
I started the West Cornwall Fibromyalgia Support Group in 2009 and I love helping others to get support and getting their heads round this frustrating condition.

Fran Long
My name is Fran Long,I am your sports editor and I will be writing the exercise programme for the website.
I was diagnosed with Fibro October 2008 , after a year of investigation, which began when I had so much pain in my legs that I needed to use 2 walking sticks.
At this time I was training for my third dan black belt in karate. The fatigue and pain was so severe that I finally visited my GP. I recieved first class support from him, and was able to pass my grading. Although I was dosed up on pain killers to go.
I now teach karate and use these exercises with all my students. their ages range from 5 onwards. All these exercises are gentle stretching, encourageing mobiliy.

The group started in 2009 and we meet every month. We are a very warm and friendly group. We have a lot of laughs and feel that laughter is the best medicine for what is a very difficult conditition.
